The Lindisfarne Hotel – Holy Island

The Lindisfarne Hotel

The Lindisfarne Hotel

Sean & Jacqueline Atkinson purchased the The Lindisfarne Hotel in 2008 and have since updated all the accommodation and added a wheelchair accessible en-suite bedroom.
The Hotel is strictly no smoking, apart from the lawns and patio area, and pets are not allowed.
The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a magical location with secret beaches, wonderful wildlife, and offers perfect tranquility.

We have personally visited this hotel a number of times now and the Lindisfarne Hotel is spotless and serves a very good English breakfast and highly recommended

The hotel provides an excellent base to discover everything that Holy Island has to see.
Holy Island is accessed from the mainland via a tidal causeway which floods daily, cutting the island off. Lindisfarne is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is steeped in religious and cultural heritage.
Lindisfarne has been a centre for Christianity since AD635 and there are many religious sites to visit such as “The Church of St. Mary”, “St. Aidan’s Church”, “The St. Cuthbert’s Centre”, “The Lindisfarne Priory and Castle” and of course St. Aidan’s Winery, home of Lindisfarne Mead.
If walking is your forte there are miles of unspoilt coastline with secret beaches to the north of Holy Island.
